Safe Coffee

Safe Coffee is a program designed to raise coffee producers’ awareness and offer them guidance on precautions in production that keep grains free from contaminants.

The need for a project to advise coffee producers arose with the growing demands of the market, both internal and external.

The program aims to prevent future problems, such as the occurrence of pesticide residues above tolerable limits in coffee beans, seen in key importing markets, although on a small scale.

The correct use of pesticides stands to offer benefits, as there are safety gains for humans, as well for the environment.
